PASADENA VILLA OPENS SMOKY MOUNTAIN LODGE
29-Bed Residential Treatment Facility Features Social Integration Model

Orlando, Fla., October 23, 2009 – Pasadena Villa is pleased to announce the opening of Smoky Mountain Lodge, its newest adult residential facility in eastern Tennessee, which features Pasadena Villa’s Social Integration Model ℠, in conjunction with traditional therapies, to serve clients nationwide. Situated on ten acres, this recently renovated co-ed facility features 29 private bedrooms and baths, vast program activity space, and state of the art dining facilities, all with views of Great Smoky Mountain National Park, located minutes away.

“Smoky Mountain Lodge will set a new standard in mental health care,” said David Nissen, Managing Director. “This peaceful and supportive haven will enable clients to learn the skills necessary for productive independent living.”

Smoky Mountain Lodge provides treatment for thought disorders, mood disorders, and social and interpersonal deficits. The facility also offers a new Autism Spectrum Disorders Program, a treatment environment for young adults with autism, high functioning autism, and Asperger’s Syndrome.

Founded in 2001, Pasadena Villa is committed to providing the highest quality of clinical services within a physical environment that promotes health, well being, recovery, and personal motivation. Through the Social Integration Model, clients participate in social, cultural, and recreational activities within the community, which provide real life experiences and coaching in real time. This unique, internally developed program prepares clients for life outside of treatment and for reaching the highest level of individual functioning possible.

The beauty and serenity of the Smoky Mountains provides an environment that supports healing, respite, and rejuvenation. This setting allows the staff to integrate adventure and experiential activities into the program. Clients will engage in various outdoor activities, including hiking, rafting, fishing, tubing, camping, biking, and equine therapy.

Pasadena Villa’s Smoky Mountain Lodge is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders. For more information about Smoky Mountain Lodge or other Pasadena Villa programs, visit the website at http://www.pasadenavilla.com or contact David Nissen at (407) 896-2636.
