5 Brands That Rock Daily Emails

Posted on: April 12th, 2013

Businesses and consumers alike have been communicating via emails since 1971, when a U.S. programmer sent the first network email by connecting his computer to his mailbox using an “@” symbol. The history of email is nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed Mashable’s list of five brands that really know how to use emails.

1. Tasting Table. Their free daily emails deliver food and drink culture to hungry individuals using an easy-to-use interface with deals one click away. Tasting Table contributors test every restaurant, recipe, or bar before making recommendations. More than a million subscribers benefit from lists of dining and drinking trends, top recipes, rising chef stars, and more.

2. Thrillist. Each weekday this free email service delivers recommendations of new and obscure deals on food, drinks, tech, fashion, entertainment, travel options and events. Currently Thrillist includes 21 cities and is still growing. They don’t write reviews, only recommendations and also feature a weekly rewards email for limited-time-only discounts.

3. Roozt. This brand connects consumers to Moral And Responsible Companies (MARCs) through emails. All featured brands are fashion-forward companies making a positive impact in their community and environment. The Roozt team hand selects the best, most trendsetting brands and sorts products by social cause, impact region, or product category.

4. LifeBooker. This company finds the best deals on beauty, health, fitness, and lifestyle trends in cities near you. LifeBooker allows users to search for appointments in their area using emails. For every appointment scheduled and attended, they give the user reward dollars that go toward their next appointment.

5.The Muck Rack Daily. This is a free daily list of trending topics.  Muck Rack presents a mosaic of the top stories from the same people covering and reporting the news. In one email edition every morning, they detail what journalists are thinking and discussing, from popular stories to personal tweets from industry professionals.
