Guests took a journey at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) 8th Annual Imagine Gala, Passport to a Cure, this past weekend. Hosted at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, this worldwide event brought the Central Florida community one step closer to a cure for type 1 diabetes. Since its founding in 1970, JDRF has awarded more than $1.7 billion to diabetes research. More than 80% of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education.
The black-tie gala kicked off with a cocktail party and silent auction. Guests were then treated to an international dinner experience with a menu containing food from all around the world. There was no shortage of opportunities to make a difference through the live auction and JDRF Fund-A-Cure, the funds of which go directly to type 1 diabetes research.
As an ongoing supporter of JDRF, the Appleton Creative team was happy to produce the promotional collateral for Passport to a Cure. The save-the-date postcard, invitation and program book designs feature the rustic, travel-inspired logo and landmark images every seasoned traveler would recognize.
