Appleton had a busy weekend filled with exciting community and client events. On Saturday, November 7th, Appleton attended JDRF’s annual Imagine Gala, along with Urbain 40’s ribbon cutting ceremony and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando’s Furball.
JDRF Imagine Gala
The ninth annual JDRF Imagine Gala was held at the Portifino Bay Hotel. It included a cocktail hour, dinner, entertainment and both live and silent auctions. The event also featured Mark and Jennifer O’Mara, who are very involved in charitable organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, as honorees. Appletonians were excited to be in attendance, especially our VP of Finance and Operations, Kim Foran, who holds a place on JDRF’s board.
Urbain 40 hosted its VIP grand opening this weekend, in partnership with Orlando Ballet celebrating their South Campus, both of which are located at Dellagio Town Center. The ribbon cutting kicked off the event, which was followed by a lively evening full of signature big city cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Appletonians have been working tirelessly on Urbain 40’s new website, which launched in time for the grand opening. It was an impressive evening for digital and traditional public relations and social marketing.
Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando’s 24th annual Furball took place at Sea World’s Ports of Call this weekend as well. The fundraiser started off with a cocktail hour amongst a variety of animals, including penguins and puppies. The Home for the Holidays theme included family-style holiday foods, in addition to both live and silent auctions. Toward the end of the night, guests were shown the way to a VIP screening of the Pets Ahoy! show and then showered with a decadent array of desserts. It was wonderful to see our hard work on the marketing collateral shine at such a wonderful event.
