Kids Beating Cancer (KBC) is back with their not-so-secret mission—keeping hope alive, fighting for a cure for every child and keeping the family together. The theme of Hats and Heroes Ball 2016 is “007-Shaken, not Stirred” and on Saturday, October 1, KBC is ready to make cancer a closed case.
Hosted at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, this is the must-attend event of Orlando’s gala season. Filled with wining, dining and dancing, this gala is sure to entertain, especially with esteemed conductor Michael Andrew and his accompanying orchestra performing iconic James Bond theme songs, such as Diamonds are Forever and Skyfall. The reception opens at 6 p.m. and festivities begin at 7 p.m.
Kids Beating Cancer, an Orlando 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, is the first and only pediatric marrow transplant center in Central Florida. For over 20 years, KBC has strived to help children across Central Florida regain their health and get back to being kids. Through videos, we help document the great work done by KBC for children afflicted with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. This year’s video follows Cashmere as she battles her cancer diagnosis with the help of KBC.
