2018 is here, and just like our real estate marketing strategies for the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA), it’s in full swing. ORRA, a leading trade organization in Orlando, is one of the largest associations in Florida, with almost 15,000 brokers, appraisers and other realty members in Central Florida. In its capacity, ORRA communicates to the public the benefits of working with a certified REALTOR®, including professional assistance, in-depth market knowledge and access to a wider range of properties.

Orlando REALTORS® count on our highly creative real estate marketing strategies to demonstrate those advantages to the people of Central Florida. See how our unique and engaging concepts targeted four niche audiences with four comprehensive campaigns, including out-of-home, digital, print and social media channels in 2016.

Entering 2018, ORRA approached Appleton for real estate marketing strategies to begin the new year on a high note. New years represent new beginnings, and we implemented that idea into our 2018 creative with copy alluding to a new lease on life to go along with a new home. We took inspiration from the Chinese calendar year. 2018 is the year of the dog, and evokes qualities of loyalty, honesty and helpfulness — traits also provided by REALTORS®.

With the same overarching goals as our 2017 campaign, we designed all creative to educate audiences on the benefits of working with a REALTOR® as well as motivate consumers to meet their New Years’ resolutions, whether it’s finally selling their house or purchasing a new one. Adorable, puppy-filled design combined with succinct, hard-hitting copy create memorable and effective ads. We implemented multiple channels to effectively reach our audiences including, billboards and a social media video series. We also heavily targeted readers of the Orlando Weekly with print, digital banners and enewsletter ads, as well as web skins.

Currently, our Year of the Dog campaign has netted millions of impressions, with a 167% increase in website pageviews over the course of just 1.5 months.
