Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

About the Client

Founded in 1937, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando (PAGO) is the state’s oldest and largest animal welfare agency. Originally operating as the Orlando Humane Society, the organization has a dedicated focus on the welfare and well-being of animals in Central Florida. As the “go-to” experts in Greater Orlando, they do incredible things for dogs and cats and the people who love them.

Our relationship with PAGO began with promoting its name change from the SPCA to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando and has grown into so much more. Locally there was much confusion with the name SPCA, leading us to help the organization with a brand refresh and themed campaigns that would clarify its brand position in Central Florida. From public awareness campaigns and social marketing to fundraising videos and public relations, we are proud to partner with this incredible organization and bring it's heartwarming stories to light.

Socially Adorable

One of the first steps we took to help PAGO was getting them set up on social media with an organic calendar and content strategy. Each week, they would feature adoptable animals in the shelter, keeping them updated and giving them a better chance of being adopted.

PAGO Unleashed

Upon rebranding to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, the organization wanted a feel-good awareness campaign that would generate more adoptions for the shelter. This widespread multimedia campaign included print and digital ads, social marketing, print collateral, billboards, public relations and vehicle wraps.

With their multiple talents, Appleton created wonderful marketing materials and beautiful videos that truly told our story. Our organization, and the cats and dogs, appreciate their great service and commitment to helping us make a difference in the community.”

Let’s Have a Ball

Throughout the years, we’ve assisted PAGO with its various awareness and fundraising events, including Paws in the Park, the Humane Heroes Luncheon and its annual fundraising gala, Furball.

It’s All for a Good Paws

For PAGO, getting the word out is crucial for many of its programs and initiatives. For the launch of its pet registry program, we enacted public relations efforts that elicited tremendous news coverage. In addition, we promoted PAGO’s mobile vet unit in an effort to keep the animal homeless population down.
