Diana LaRue began her career with national financial publications Value-line and Fact Magazine in New York. A few years later, she decided to establish her first design firm, Neo Geo, Inc. In the late ‘90s, after a decade of creating campaigns for local and national clients, Neo Geo Inc. merged with Avid, Inc., a film and video production company, as the dawn of the web era became prevalent. Together, the companies comprised of a truly full-service advertising and marketing agency that was leading the way in an ever-changing world of multimedia marketing.
Within Appleton Creative, Diana LaRue has cultivated an agency that leverages its creative excellence into valuable, tangible results for each client. LaRue is guided by an intuitive sense of marketing strategy, combined with a creative passion for excellence and a true belief in thorough research and analytics. Her design skills are augmented by a talented, diverse team of professionals carefully selected to highlight each of their unique capabilities. This, in tandem with their collective community services, has created a dynamic work environment enjoyed by team and clientele alike.
Over the years, LaRue has developed a broad and comprehensive creative portfolio that illustrates her abilities to grow brands beyond traditional means. Under her creative direction and leadership, Appleton Creative has produced regional, national and international award-winning work. LaRue’s track record covers a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology, nonprofit organizations, real estate, development, tourism and hospitality. Her client snapshot includes AAA, CNL Companies, Hilton, Florida Hospital, Golf Channel, Granny Nannies, Orlando Health, Orlando International Airport, Pet Alliance, Re/Max, Tavistock and Westfield, to name a few.
Diana is a community leader and currently holds positions on the UCF Town & Gown Community Relation’s Council (10 years), the Rollins College ATHENAPowerLink Governing Board (eight years), the Zebra Coalition Board of Directors (eight years) and the Victory Cup Initiative Board. In addition, she is on the Foundation for Foster Children Marketing Committee and a Women Build board member for Habitat for Humanity. Diana also served four years on the City of Orlando Downtown Development Board Architectural Review Committee and five years on the UCP of Central Florida’s Expert Brand Committee. She has been a longtime member and judge for Orlando Advertising Federation, Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW) and Florida Executive Women (FEW).
Diana has won Woman Business Owner of the Year from Orlando Business Journal Women Who Mean Business as well as countless awards and accolades for her work.
Diana enjoys reading literature in her downtime and her favorite poet is Ruth Schwab Georgiou, her mother.
