Armed with extensive skill in search engine optimization, digital marketing and Internet analytics, Jacob Spikes has the knowledge and fortitude to create comprehensive digital campaigns for local, national and international companies.

Jacob began his professional career at Top Line Screen Printing in Orlando, Florida. He was responsible for organizing logistics for product launches and overseeing production and trend analytics for ICAST, the world’s largest sportfishing trade show. Post product launch, Jacob worked in order procurement and product sales. He also coordinated social media campaigns across Facebook and Instagram to help raise the brand’s follower base by 300%, and developed the marketing collateral to accompany them.

From there, Jacob took a marketing position at Central Florida Community Arts, a nonprofit organization, where he developed and implemented social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. He used his SEO expertise to implement a new content marketing campaigns, and was instrumental in creating a new line of merchandise to promote the organization within the Central Florida community. His other duties included designing a corporate logo, flyers, pamphlets and playbills to help establish and expand the brand’s identity, digital footprint and overall level of awareness in the community.

During his next venture at Rising Curve Media, Jacob was responsible for conducting keyword research to increase visibility of the company’s clients and their PPC advertising campaigns. He provided optimization consultation to help multimillion dollar hospitality clients reach and maintain the first page in search engines, ensuring that the clients of Rising Curve Media achieved the highest quality search rankings. Jacob also developed and implemented lasting company standards for how campaign copy is positioned, which spurred the production of a total overhaul for the group’s brand guide.

As the digital marketing manager and head SEO strategist at Appleton Creative, Jacob works with clients to establish and improve website search rankings using paid and organic methods. Extensive keyword research paired with client objectives allows him to give detailed SEO analysis and recommendations for web content and structure. Jacob implements competitive link-building campaigns and performs thorough diagnostic reports to keep clients at the forefront of their industry and ahead of their competitors.

Leading the digital marketing strategy for a breadth of Appleton’s clients’ campaigns, Jacob ensures the highest possible ROI is achieved for each digital advertising campaign in 2016, Jacob led the award-winning digital campaign for the Orlando Regional REALTORS® Association and helped its team achieve a 2091% increase in monthly visitors to its website. His ability to think creatively and analytically allows him to achieve conclusive results using effective white-hat marketing methods.

I have a weakness for doo-wop from the 1950s and 1960s. As a result, I've accumulated a pretty extensive vinyl record collection.
